The Senior Manager is responsible for providing oversight of the accounting team, and collaborating with the management and administration teams, and external advisors to deliver high quality client service and advice. The salary range for the position is $95,000 - $150,000.
Accountant/CPA Student
We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant/CPA Student with bookkeeping, personal and corporate tax experience to join our team.
Specifically, the Accountant is responsible for:
File preparation
· Complete periodic bookkeeping as required to prepare files for year end compliance process.
· Assist with regular compliance filings including GST returns, WCB, T4 and T5 returns.
· Assist in the completion of Canadian personal and corporate tax engagements.
· Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements and tax returns according to Firm and regulatory standards for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprises.
· Correspond with clients and various government agencies to address tax compliance issues and prepare responses.
Client Service
· Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients by understanding their accounting needs and providing effective solutions and advice.
· Acts as the primary point of contact for client communications to answer questions, resolve issues and manage expectations.
· Provides innovative and insightful recommendations to support client’s financial needs and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
· 1 or more years of accounting experience in public practice or a related role
· Post secondary education or equivalent work experience in public accounting or the preparation of personal tax is preferred.
· Experience in the preparation of Canadian tax returns and compliance as well as research and documentation of tax issues is preferred.
· Experience working with, or exposure to, accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Taxprep, QuickBooks/QBO and Sage Accounting is preferred.

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
We are currently seeking a skilled full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing customer service and administrative support.
Specifically, the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
Client Service
· Greet clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
· Answer and direct phone calls promptly and efficiently.
· Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Administrative duties
· Manage incoming and outgoing emails, mail, packages, and deliveries.
· Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff members.
· Assist with administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, photocopying, and data entry.
· Enter and maintain client database.
· Assemble client packages for meetings.
· Print, assemble and efile tax returns
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, meeting rooms, common areas.
· Assist with special projects and tasks as needed.
· Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration is preferred.
· Demonstrated experience as a receptionist/administrative assistant
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Previous experience in a public accounting or professional services environment is preferred but not required.
